Over 45,000 Vehicles Cross Jamuna Bridge, Toll Collection Exceeds Tk 3.27 Crore

More than 45,000 vehicles crossed the Jamuna Bridge on the fourth day of Eid travel, generating over Tk 3.27 crore in toll revenue.

The toll was collected through both cash and online payments over a 24-hour period ending at midnight on Thursday.

Executive Engineer of the Jamuna Bridge Maintenance and Operation Division, Syed Riaz Uddin, shared the information this morning.

He said a total of 45,610 vehicles used the bridge during this period, resulting in toll collection of more than Tk 3.27 crore.

Riaz Uddin also noted that since the start of Eid travel, traffic on the bridge has increased by two to two-and-a-half times compared to normal levels. To manage the extra pressure, two additional toll booths have been installed at each end of the bridge, raising the total number of booths from 14 to 18.
