The Bangladesh Navy is fully ready to ensure the national election and referendum on February 12 take place in a free, fair, peaceful and festive environment.
On Sunday (February 1), Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), visited navy contingents in key areas. He inspected security arrangements at polling centers.
Key Inspections and Discussions
During the visit, He exchanged views with local administration representatives and other law enforcement agencies. He checked contingents in Teknaf, Saint Martin and Maheshkhali, giving special guidance for smooth elections. He urged all personnel to cooperate in maintaining normalcy, law and order. This will help voters exercise their rights confidently in a safe, celebratory setting.
Security Deployments
Navy contingents are already at critical locations, with intensified patrols. Polling center preparations are complete, including land vehicle patrols, boats, and naval vessels in waterways. Law enforcement is ready to handle any issues efficiently and firmly.
Navy’s Support and Confidence
Rear Admiral Musa assured full Navy support to local administration and the Election Commission. He aims to make this the 13th parliamentary election a model one. He called for strong cooperation from all to ensure smooth polling. With joint efforts from government, Election Commission, administration, law enforcement, and people, the election will be peaceful, free, fair and credible.
