Trump Gives Iran 48-Hour Ultimatum as War Intensifies

US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran has just 48 hours to reach a deal or face severe military action, as tensions in the ongoing war continue to rise.

The warning came after fresh attacks across the region, including strikes near a nuclear facility and new missile launches linked to the widening conflict. Trump said Iran must agree to terms—including reopening the Strait of Hormuz—or face what he described as “all hell.”

The conflict, which began with US-Israeli strikes earlier this year, has now spread across the Middle East and disrupted global energy markets.

Iran’s military rejected the ultimatum, calling it a reckless move and warning of strong retaliation. Officials in Tehran said they would not back down under pressure.

Meanwhile, fighting continues on multiple fronts. Iranian forces reportedly targeted economic assets in Gulf countries, while retaliatory strikes hit energy infrastructure inside Iran, causing casualties.

The situation remains tense as both sides also search for a missing US airman after a fighter jet was shot down. A high-risk rescue operation has already recovered one crew member, while efforts continue for the other.

A strike near the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has raised global concern, with warnings about potential radioactive risks, although no increase in radiation has been reported so far.

The war has also led to rising oil prices and global economic uncertainty, with the closure of key shipping routes like the Strait of Hormuz affecting supply chains worldwide.

Despite the escalation, no clear timeline has been set for ending the conflict, and diplomatic efforts remain uncertain as both sides continue military operations.
