Offices reopen after Eid holidays; PM resumes work at Secretariat

Government and private offices across the country reopened on Tuesday after a seven-day Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, with normal activities resuming at the Secretariat from 9:00am.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at the Secretariat at 9:00am sharp and began work from the Cabinet Division office.

According to the schedule, the prime minister is set to hold a meeting at 10:00am with a delegation from the Asia-Pacific region of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

At 11:00am, he is scheduled to meet relevant ministers and departmental heads to discuss issues related to economic discipline and management.

The prime minister is also expected to hold a meeting on sending skilled manpower abroad and creating employment opportunities.

In addition, he will meet the minister, state minister and adviser of the Social Welfare Ministry to discuss overall matters related to the Family Card programme.

Several more meetings are scheduled for the prime minister at the Secretariat from the afternoon until the evening.
