Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud discussed economic cooperation and the potential for expanding Saudi investment in Bangladesh.
The meeting was held at the UN Bilateral Booth at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), PM’s Assistant Press Secretary KM Nazmul Haque said.
The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, manpower, development cooperation and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Tarique Rahman stressed the need to further deepen and expand the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, particularly through greater economic engagement and investment.
The Saudi foreign minister expressed Saudi Arabia’s interest in further strengthening relations between the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
