Prime Minister Tarique Rahman chaired a meeting at the Bangladesh Secretariat to discuss ways to improve the living standards of the country’s salt farmers.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Division office where officials stressed the importance of ensuring fair prices for salt farmers and discussed measures to improve their livelihoods.
According to Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony the discussion focused on protecting farmers’ interests and strengthening support for the salt sector.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance and Planning Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir Finance Division Secretary Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder Industries Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman Additional Secretary of the Commerce Ministry Md Abdur Rahim Khan and BSCIC Chairman Md Saiful Islam were present at the meeting.
