Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed ways to further strengthen the friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting was held at the UAE Mission in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, economic partnership, manpower and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Tarique Rahman stressed the need to further expand and make the existing relations between Bangladesh and the UAE more effective, particularly in areas of mutual interest and benefit.
Both sides expressed interest in increasing cooperation in various fields and deepening the multifaceted partnership between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
