Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain has said the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and Malaysia is built on mutual trust and confidence, with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s recent visit to Malaysia further strengthening bilateral ties.
Speaking at an event titled “Towards a Stronger Bangladesh-Malaysia Partnership” in Dhaka, the minister said Bangladeshi businessmen and entrepreneurs have long maintained close relations with their Malaysian counterparts.
He stressed the need to further expand bilateral economic cooperation and urged Malaysia to increase imports of Bangladeshi products.
Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shuhada Othman also highlighted the longstanding friendship between the two countries, saying the Prime Minister’s recent visit would contribute to further strengthening Bangladesh-Malaysia relations.
FBCCI Administrator Md Fazlul Haque was also present at the event.
